HOW LONG IS THE TENDER PROCESS?

The process is 3 months. From the date of the tender open, the ministries/departments have to evaluate and submit the tender recommendation within 2 months. 1 month for State Tender Board/Mini Tender Board to consider.

SUPPLIERS/CONTRACTORS REGISTRATION

All interested tenderers can participate in open. For the administrative purpose and convenience of the suppliers and contractors, some of the tenders required registration with relevant Government Registration Authorities such as Ministry of Development (Construction, Architecture, Engineering and construction services), Electrical Department (Electrical related goods, supply, services and works), and Authority for Info-communications Technology (AiTi) (Information and Communication Technologies services and work)etc.

SOME USEFUL TIPS WHEN RESPONDING TO TENDERS

  1. Submit your offer, including prices before the closing date and time stated on the invitation. It is best to submit your prices quotes early so as to avoid last minute rush.

  2. Submit your offer according to theand instructions stated on the tender notice and Instruction to Tenderer (ITT).

  3. Submit your offer on time. We will not accept late submissions, regardless of how late you are. We ensure equal treatment of all bidders, by rejecting submissions after the closing date and time (time as reflected on the Instruction To Tenderer).

  4. Check your prices to make sure that they are correct before submitting. We do not allow changes to prices after the closing date and time.

  5. Submit tender offers through designated Mini Tender Board Box or State Tender Board Box depending on which ministry or department works notice come from. Make sure your submission is in the correct tender box. Please read the Instruction to Tenderers carefully what are the requirements.

FOREIGN FIRMS/SUPPLIERS

Foreign firms can participate in the tenders individually but it is advisable for them to form a joint-venture with capable local companies for easier registration, communication and recording purposes.

PUBLICATION OF PROCUREMENT INFORMATION

Tender notice is published in English and Malay in Pelita Brunei an official Government newspaper. Notice contain information such as procuring entity, description of products, service, works to be procured, tender opening and closing dates and venue for collection of tender documents.

Tender notices and Quotation notices are published weekly on the Government Newspaper (Pelita Brunei).
